About Black Golfers' Weekend
Black Golfers Weekend is a nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating and empowering African American golfers, while also promoting diversity and inclusion within the sport of golf. Founded on the belief that golf should be accessible to everyone regardless of race or background, Black Golfers Weekend strives to create a welcoming and supportive community for black golfers of all skill levels.
Mission
The mission of Black Golfers Weekend is to foster a vibrant and inclusive golfing community for African Americans, where they can connect, learn, and grow both on and off the course. Through our events, programs, and initiatives, we aim to:
Celebrate Excellence: Highlight the achievements and contributions of black golfers past and present, showcasing their talent and inspiring future generations.
Promote Diversity: Advocate for increased diversity and representation within the golfing world, working to break down barriers and create opportunities for underrepresented individuals.
Provide Opportunities: Offer access to resources, scholarships, and mentorship programs to support the development of young black golfers and help them reach their full potential.
Build Community: Foster a sense of belonging and camaraderie among black golfers through networking events, tournaments, and social gatherings, creating lasting friendships and professional connections.
Educate and Empower: Offer educational workshops and initiatives focused on skill-building, leadership development, and career advancement, equipping black golfers with the tools they need to succeed both on and off the course.
